What Friends We Have In Barnabas

Remember the song What A Friend We Have In Jesus?  So often I am reminded that we can easily say “What A Friend We Have In Barnabas through Jesus.”  In all my years in our Barnabas Department, the spirit of love, concern, and fellowship for each other has never been greater.  God is working in our department.

Whether it is on Sunday mornings, Monday night’s dinners, socials, trips, e-mails of encouragement, or prayers for one another, you can easily see that the love is present.  We have a unique group.  It is large with 200 members yet everyone works very hard to know each member.  Because of our largeness, it is not practical to think we can visit or be with everyone every week.  Yet, everyone seems to have a close friend or small group of friends within the department that constantly ministers throughout the week.  The entire department is always ready to minister to those in need both inside and outside the department.  What a comfort and blessing it is to know that we can always call on a Barnabas when we are in need.

Thank you friends for caring for each other and helping all of us realize each hour “What a Friend We Have In Barnabas through Jesus Christ.”
